Exceptionally clear and easy to understand guide to Sanskrit, 21 Nov 2004
By Suza Francina "Suza Francina, author" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Sacred Sanskrit Words (Paperback)
Sacred Sanskrit Words is the perfect book for yoga teachers like myself who want to learn the meaning of the most often used Sanskrit words. The writing is exceptionally clear and easy to understand, and encourages and inspires the reader to go forward and learn more! As I read this book I began to understand that through Sanskrit we have the opportunity to come into the realm of a sacred language that is timeless and eternal. I highly recommend this thoughtful and illuminating book to all students of yoga as well as philosophers, theologians, scientists, health practitioners, musicians, historians and anyone else interested in exploring the cosmos and workings of the mind and soul.

very informative, 25 Aug 2008
By Robert W. Smith "Robert Smith, Ph.D." - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Sacred Sanskrit Words (Paperback)
this is a very well crafted book. it is 200 plus pages length. it contains many of the basic sanskrit words, written in both sanskrit and english translations. this is an outstanding general text for especially those with an interest in yoga or spiritual traditions. this is not a scholarly text. for the price, i found it a delightful read and useful as a book for periodic review.
