Book Description

9 July 2013
2013 Reprint of 1936 Edition. Full facsimile of the original edition, not reproduced with Optical Recognition Software. Reprints Fifth Edition printed in Los Angeles in 1936. Manly P. Hall was the founder of the Philosophical Research Society. In over seventy-five years of dynamic public activity, he delivered more than 8,000 lectures in the United States and abroad, and authored countless books, essays, and articles. In his lectures and writings, Manly Hall always emphasized the practical aspects of philosophy and religion as they applied to daily living. He restated for modern man those spiritual and ethical doctrines which have given humanity its noblest ideals and most adequate codes of conduct. Believing that philosophy is a working tool to help the individual in building a solid foundation for his dreams and purposes, Manly Hall steadfastly sought recognition of the belief that world civilization can be perfected only when human beings meet on a common ground of intelligence, cooperation, and worthy purpose.

There was very little information contained in this book - it was mostly just a list of numbers and their apparent symbolic importance

5.0 out of 5 stars Manly P. Hall "The Scred Magic of the Qabbalah- The Science of Divine Names" 10 July 2009
By Howard Roy Williams Jr. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Historian A. Ralph Epperson the decidedly anti Masonic author of the underground classic "New World Order" called Manly P. Hall greatest of all the Masonic writers. This little pamphlet roughly 54 pages in length corroborates Epperson's claim, I personally think that Hall was a great writer period perhaps I haven't read enough different authors but as it stands right now I consider Hall to one of the greatest writers 20th century.
Do not be misled because of the brevity of this text into thinking there is not a great deal of information, wisdom and knowledge in this essay. Hall offers a concise yet thoroughly detailed analysis of the symbols which are the foundation of humanity's mode of communication namely; letters and numbers
I personally always have been fascinated by the lucidity and profundity of Hall's writings and in "The Sacred Magic of the Qabbalah" once again Mr. Hall's displayed great knowledge of the ancient teachings combined with an extremely smooth literary style that makes it difficult not to constantly want to re-read his material in mid stream as opposed to reading it straight through.
All in all I would have to give this essay a 4.5 to 5 star rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sacred Magic of the Qabbalah 5 Oct 2013

I took a turn from from my own selected list of text for research, and bought this. This was NOT spot on my research but very interesting and was a pleasent interest diversion. For a quick read, enjoyable! For re-reading and deeper thinking after you've put the book down... most enjoyable, and for pondering while walking in the sun and wind it "stimulates the little grey cells most adiquately."
