1.0 out of 5 stars Great, unless you have Windows 7 23 Oct 2009

Very fun game and unlike a lot of others I prefer the PC version to the console. But there is a big "however". I just upgraded to Windows 7 and this game simply isn't compatible with Windows 7 at the moment. There are a number of possible workarounds for getting it to run with Windows XP compatibility mode but then a lot of people (myself included) are having problems getting the activation code for the rather restrictive DRM to work. Leave well alone if you have Windows 7 until Deep Silver do something to get it working.

1.0 out of 5 stars Forget this on 64 bit OS 25 July 2009

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
It would be a really great game...if only it would play for more than 20 minutes without crashing. At least I only get a reboot, and not the BSOD. Bear in mind that I am running on an AMD Phenom Quad Core, 4 GB RAM and 2 x ATI Radeon 4850 X2 1024MB cards, so my system is eminently capable of running any game. Devil May Cry, Crysis, Oblivion, Fallout 3, the lot

Don't just take my word for it, check out the official Sacred 2 forums and you'll see that people with all different hardware configurations are having the same problems if they run 64 bit OS. And running in XP compatibility mode doesn't work either, not for everyone.

I bought this at full price, but this is not a fault of Amazon's. This is down to the game devs. Please no-one tell me that Oblivion and FO3 are temperamental...

I'd get Drakensang instead...that's what I did.

4.0 out of 5 stars If you liked the first you'll love this... 13 Nov 2008
Platform for Display:PC|Edition:Standard Edition
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
It seems strange that this game has been out for a week now, yet there are no reviews for it anywhere (other then Eastern European game reviews). I have been playing for a few days and I have not had a single problem with the game. It installed easily enough, the graphics are smooth (if not revolutionary) and I haven't experienced a single crash.

Overall the game plays very much like the original, which I loved. It is a Diablo clone but has enough to offer on its own to warrent better than average reviews. The action is fast and I always love creating combo fighting moves. The charcaters you can choose between are all very interesting and I like that they have different start points. You can also follow an evil path with all the charcaters excepth the Seraphim (who is by far one of the greatest RPG charcaters of all time).

I do have some gripes though. First the inventory and character menu are so small. All the stats and equipment look tiny and you'll find yourself squinting at times. Also the start of the game is ridiculously easy and I was worried that the whole game would get boring....but stick with it long enough and things get interesting.

Fianlly I just want to say that this is a good game overall with plenty of replayablity, a massive gameworld and 100 times more intersting then the majority of new role playing games out there. If your looking forward to Diablo then this would be a great fix for you until its released.
