Product Description

"I've read many, many goal setting books and found this to be one of the best, most stream lined processes that opened my eyes to areas I didn't realize I had been leaving out. I very much recommend this book." ~Lynette

"this book ... has helped me realise the goals that are important to me, and that will be most useful in my life - and has given me the tools to repeat this process for the future." ~JoannaGoanna

This book is also available in the 3 book bundle (ASIN: B009ERPBAE).

Everyone wants something more in their lives. Whether you call that something more a wish, desire, or a goal, we're all looking for the easiest way to achieve what we want.

This is Book 2 in the three part series on creating a personalized Strategic Career, Life and Business Goal Plan for achieving success on your terms.

In Book 1 we determined our Core Values to create an initial roadmap and device to help us make appropriate choices.

In this book we take it a step further by looking at all the important segments of our life - not just our business or our career. As you complete the exercises, you'll consider 8 major areas of your life, why they are important, and how they interact to create your personal reality.  You'll discover some new things about yourself along the way - you'll identify more clearly what's important to you and recognize what you can let go of that no longer matters.

This holistic approach ensures that you're not leaving out important aspects and use your past successes (and challenges) to help create a balanced approach to getting the results you really want.

How much easier would it be to reach your goals if you could target them based on your unique situation, values and preferences?

FREE BONUS: Downloadable Worksheets to help you complete the process (link included in the Resources section of the book).

This book is also available as part of a combination Kindle or paperback book

5.0 out of 5 stars Focusing on Balance 30 Nov 2012
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have been reading goal setting, self-help and motivational books for decades (literally... I remember getting Anthony Robbins first book back when people were still saying, "Tony... who??")

I honestly believe this is the first book to lay out not only the importance of re-evaluating which goals to keep and which to discard, but to actually lay out a step-by-step plan for doing so!

I particularly liked how thorough the process for evaluating past goals and achievements was... too often we don't take the time to notice that we have accomplished a large number of things that will help us to meet future goals. And if we don't notice that... we don't remember to take them off of our mental "to do list"... which can really weigh us down going in to the future.

It makes sense to get rid of old clothes that no longer serve our purposes.... it makes even more sense to go through our old plans and goals... setting aside to treasure those that served us well and are now complete, discarding those that no longer fit, and then having the room in our mental closet to focus on those we truly need and use on a daily basis to move forward.

I enjoyed this book and the process involved ... and I look forward to book 3 in this series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tony Robbins needs to read this 10 Oct 2012

I wished I read this at the beginning of the year but after reading it now is the beginning of the year so things are about to change.
I would have given this a 6 star if possible because of what it can do for anyone who reads it.
I've read lots of books on this topic and most are fluff and no substance.
This is exactly what I've been looking for and from someone I'd never heard about until today.
There were plenty of ah-ha moments for me when reading this and I'm sure others will find the same.

5.0 out of 5 stars Take Control Of Your Life 4 Jan 2013
By David Holmes - Published on

This book isn't just another book about creating goals. In this, you'll find how to get clarity for your goals and determine the reasons for wanting a particular goal. There's also a warning about the lack of satisfaction in a goal where you want 'things', rather than accomplishments that mean something to you in the long-term.

There are specific exercises to make your plan 'strategic', rather than just another plan that has a low likelyhood of working. You'll find out how to identify specific action steps and learn about the importance of actually WRITING DOWN your goals. I really like the part about clearing out your mental attic before pursuing your goals and renegotiating previous goals and letting go of unfinished projects that no longer fit you.

If you want to get serious about setting the right goals and strategically accomplishing them, get this book.
