Book Description

STITCHED TOGETHER: A Quilting Cozy (Book 5) is the story of Sarah and Charles as they face the many joys and challenges of combining their life styles and households. Both in their seventies, they discover they each have a lifetime of preferences, priorities, and issues which make compromise sometimes difficult and often rewarding. Sophie reluctantly considers a love interest herself, as family and friends pull together to save one of their own who has been charged with murder. This is the fifth book in the Quilting Cozy series, following "Tie Died," "Running Stitches," "Sea Bound," and "Patchwork Connections,” and, as always, there’s lots of quilting!

I was so happy when I found out that Carol Dean Jones had continued her story. I loved it as I had the other four or five that she had written. It is a wonderful read and I hope she will continue with it.

I had a feeling about who the culprit was and I was right! But that wasn't the main focus of the story to me, it was rebuilding family ties. I hope David can be healed in the next installment! And what about Martha and Tim? Hurry with the next book! Funny thing is while I'm reading these books I wish I could learn to quilt, but I never think of it between books.

This book is fantastic. It follows the story from the last book It has mystery, adventure and romance. It was hard to put down because you want to find out what happens next.

2.0 out of 5 stars but could be better presented with more present action 4 Nov. 2014

I remember the Asian fabric fad, used some of it myself. I "get" the quilt shop scene, but nothing dramatic or unusual in the presentation of it in this book. Too much "____ remembered______" to fill in back story. Too much past tense. An interesting idea, the house, the contractors, etc, but could be better presented with more present action.
