I bought this for my Cannon 550D with 18-55mm lens. It is bit hard to make balance before filming, but after I set up balance well, the result is amazing.

Product arrived the next day by Royal Mail. For the price it does exactly as advertised. I have tried both my cameras. It improves the results from the Panasonic TM700 the most. My Sony HX9V which has a very good stabilizer system built in has only a slight improvement. Well worth having.STEADYCAM DSLR DIGITAL CAMERA STABILIZER STEADICAM BY SMOOTHSHOT

This is the First Steadycam I have owned and it works perfectly on my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70 which is around 600g. I was concerned after reading reviews that aI had made the wrong purchase. However FEAR NOT !!! No balance issues like a few people have reported, at this weight. anyway. I also tried the SmoothShot with a slightly heavier Camera set up using a wider 50mm lens on my Canon 70D, at around 900g with lens it took a little more balancing than my Lumix but still worked with a little patience. I have now been testing this around the house and in the office and with practice you can create some outstanding results with little effort. The images look really good and NO Camera shake, Hence the word stabilizer I guess..Ha Ha..

So if you are in any doubt about buying a SMOOTHSHOT product then hopefully this short review helps someone and dispels some of the fears. Easy to use, Feels Very sturdy yet lightweight!! Outstanding Value for money compared to other leading Brands. So Hats off to SmoothShot - Well Done....VFM Steadycam that works perfectly..

Brilliant product! considering its almost half the price of what you pay for other stabilizers out there this one sure does the job well! I personally haven't achieved the perfect balance yet but the Smoothshot team does an awesome job in ensuring it works well.

Had a D3200 which was too heavy for the weights given and the smoothshot team sent me extra weights and a weight platform FOR FREE. That is how confident they are with their product. So anyone that has difficulty balancing a DSLR please don't go ape and leave bad review and return the product. Instead send them an email telling them your problem and your camera weight and they will have you sorted out in a jiffy.

I got mine on their ebay page and it arrived very promptly with no hassle! Also a haribo sweet from Paul haha. Nevertheless i strongly recommend this if you are just a occasional or even an amateur video guy as it is inexpensive and reliable. Do check out their website for tutorials in how to setup your stabilizer!

I thought it was going to be a a lot more versatile than it turned out to be. Quality not brilliant and the length of retaining screw and its position not helpful. Would not buy it again. Overpriced for what it is.

If you are planning on using this device for a DSLR, forget it, complete waste of time. I spent an hour and a half trying to balance a Canon 550d and it was impossible. Looking for 'Smoothshot Review' on Youtube I see I am not alone. You might (chances are extremely slim) eventually be able to get it to balance after several hours (yes, really, hours) but unfortunately you will need to spend the same amount of time every time you want to use it, so imagine doing that in the field or with a group of people standing around waiting on you.

I say might be able to get it to balance because I read a few people say they added extra weights and managed to get it to work that way but frankly, if a product does not work as advertised straight out the box without modifications then it isn't something I want to spend my money on.

If you think you can spend a few hours getting it balanced and all you need do thereafter is attach the camera - not a chance. The Smoothshot isn't designed that way. The screw that attaches to the camera isn't in a fixed position so it is impossible to fix the camera in exactly the same position every time you use it meaning you have to go through the entire balancing process again.

Where this product did seem to work reasonably well was with a very light camera. I tried it with a Sony Cybershot and it did okay. Wobbled around a lot but I think that's because I had too many counterweights on as my intention was to see if it worked at all, not perfectly balance it with a pocket Sony.

This Youtube review does a good job explaining the problems with DSLR cameras and the Smoothshot: youtu.be/hCZ3ktEvPWU?t=1m15s

Great product, very cheap and at the same time with a good quality.
It is good with intermediate cams, not good for something like reflex with big optics. Anyway it works great with my NX200! Very stable.

They also sent me candies :-) Thanks

Suggested! Not only for the object itself but also for the great service. Ah, also lifetime warranty! :-D do you want something more?

The first package had been lost, so they have sent me another one and it has arrived in short time.

TOP!
