This is a velvet pad-type record cleaner, which is supplied with a base stand, and a 2 fl.oz (about 60ml) bottle of antistatic cleaning fluid. The instructions suggest dry-wiping the record first, before applying a few drops of the fluid to the pad & wiping again, in a clockwise direction (against the normal play direction).
It works well, but I found that it usually needed a bit more than a few drops of fluid to clean the record properly. In practice, I don't now bother to dry-wipe records first- I just go to the wet-wipe straight away.
The cleaner works well, and removes a surprising amount of dust. However, the instructions don't mention how to clean the velvet pad itself! I've found wiping the pad with a clean towel works well. Also, I feel the stand could have been enclosed with a lid to keep dust out.
I've knocked a star off- chiefly because of the lack of instructions as to how to clean the dusty pad! I can't seem to get hold of replacement bottles of cleaning fluid anywhere- it would be nice if this was available, as the supplied bottle will eventually run out! I also felt it was a little expensive- although it does look like a quality product, which will probably last a good many years.

It works, was suprised the amount of dust and dirt this cleaner removed. One disc I thought would never play without pops and crackles was sorted out so as to play as it was near new. Would recommend.

There isn't much you can say about a cleaning product. It either cleans or it doesn't. The Stanton vinyl kit cleans the recod well enough. You use one side of the brush to wipe away the dust, then apply a few drops on to te other side of the brush (I find the three or four recommended is not enough)and apply to the vinyl. It dries very quickly. And that it is. The records played fine.I noticed on some of the records which had slight surface noise, improved in sound.
