I wanted a clother dryer/airer that wouldn't collapse like the last one I used (one of those complex, multi-way devices with lots of cheap plastic corners that eventually broke). Although I've only used this item a few times so far, I really like it - because it folds out to a horizontal rack, wet clothes don't sit on top of other wet clothes like you get with vertical racks. This does mean it takes up more space than some however... I obviously can't gauge whether it will last for years, but it seems sturdy because there are only really 4 hinges, and the upper section is held up by 2 "arms" that come up from the lower section - so there's no complicated mechanism to break there. Recommended.
