4.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding read 9 Aug 2002
Format:Hardcover
Chris Mann's book on the 3rd SS division TOTENKOPF is a must for all interested in the history of the SS. It is incredibly informative, without dragging on as to loose the reader's interest. The book covers the formation of the division as concentration camp guards to one of the most feared fighting forces on the Eastern Front. For five long years they fought the Soviet Forces, the author's coverage of these years is outstanding. This book is one of the best I have purchased on this subject and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone interested in this subject.

This is a decent book of information on the 3rd SS. For a more extensive look at the division without spending a lot of money, try Sydor's Soldiers of Destruction.
