Bought this as a replacement to my BareMotion leather folio case. I like front covers and the additional privacy they offer, as well as the added drop protection.
Case does NOT have a latching method (magnet, button, or otherwise) which I thought would be bothersome but isn't. You aren't constantly opening the same little flap so the lifespan of the case is increased (this was the main issue with the BareMotion case). Also the case's front cover isn't wobbly so it stays on the screen enough as not to open when you're not wanting it open. I also have a Spigen glass.tR screen protector on it (the thicker variant before they became more efficient and thinner) and the added width does not get in the way.
The card slot is decently sized though I didn't buy it for that purpose. It's small enough that it won't get in your way if you don't use it, and you can stick notes and whatnot there for easy access which is nice. It fits a normal sized card properly, but would require that you fold the phone back (like you're about to stand it up) to access it quickly which may be bothersome, or handy, depending on how you look at it. The ear speaker cut out does actually make it more comfortable to talk on as you're not fumbling with the cover.
The standing position of the case needs a bit of work. With folio cases you have to get a feel for how it opens and bends to find a comfortable means of typing and using your device (which I've done). However, the only way it stands on its own, which is done by essentially flipping the cover all the way back, is to put it completely vertical (while in landscape). This isn't super helpful as you'd want it on an angle for better viewing and ease of use, and having it straight up and down is annoying. Better than nothing.
I give it 4/5 as it IS a nice folio style case, just wanted a better standing position. The material is very synthetic but isn't a bother as everything is synthetic anymore and an iPhone certainly isn't made of fur. The case fits the iPhone without any issues, and does not harm the phone itself...volume and mute switch are a bit hard to reach but I personally consider that a feature as I hate when they're changed accidentally. Charging and audio ports are not obstructed.
Hope this helps!!
