Apparently the new iPhone 5 which is made out of aluminium, especially the black anodised one, is susceptible to scratches, scrapes and nicks. This is not surprising as aluminium is a soft metal. If you don't mind the aged look of your phone, the worn pair of jeans effect, then by all means go without a case. If you are looking to sell the phone in a year or two, and want full resale value then protect it.
I actually put this on the phone before it goes into a protective cover, in my case I use a Gumdrop Drop Tech one.
There is a reason for this, past experience has taught me that tiny little particles, even sand can still get into any case and rub away at the surface of the phone leaving marks. You won't even know it is happening until you take the case off and see the scratches. That is something to think about.
Why the Steinheil? Well they have perfect clarity, do nothing to upset the screen and can be used under a case with a built in screen protector. Optically they are superb. You lose nothing and they are tough.
I also use one of these on my iPod. Enough said I think.
Normally I would sell on my pristine (yes it is) iPhone 4S but this time my wife has taken possession of it unlike her old Nokia (a good few years old) which has teething marks and dents all over it, she decided she needed something more up to date.
Unfortunately she has now become one of those `look at my shiny phone' people refusing to put it in a protective case which would protect it from drops. Ah well, who am I to reason with her? I'll just pick up the repair bill later. I will however still use my `I told you so' look when I do but at least the screen won't be scratched!
At the very least this should be your starting point to protect your expensive phone.
I tried both protectors that came in the packet and the same result. Waste of money! I previously bought Belkin for my 4s and that worked fine. Now looking for a Belkin version.
Ive been using this for over two months and there is not a scratch on it. its very durable and offers good screen protection.
You do get two in the pack so will get a second chance if you mess the first one up.
There is no sticky residue left on the phone so you can adjust it or reapply it as necessary but it does seem to attract dust.
If you looking for good screen protection and something that does not have that plastic feel then this is for you.
Which is why i turned to these. The price truly reflects the quality of the screen protectors. Yes, you can buy cheaper, which, under normal circumstances, may not present any issues for you, however, if you want the best, and to be extra careful. Look no further.
Clear vision, and high quality screen protectors which will protect the Resale Value of your iPhone 5s.
It is really easy to install and the feel of the protector is strong yet does not affect the display and screen responsiveness.
2 protectors are included in the pack with a high quality squeegee and fibre cloth to clean your screen...well worth the extra cash.
Anyway unfortunately i failed to install it properly ...so watch out..when you are trying to apply the sticker.

Extremely difficult to apply. Oleophobic quality disappears after a couple of weeks. Considering the price, I would avoid Spigen in the future!Published 15 months ago by Optimus Grime
Quite simply, these did not in any way live up to expectations or description. Replaced protector that cost a fifth of the price and seemed no better quality. Read morePublished 19 months ago by Neil Shiels
Best steen protector I have used. A little pricey compared to some but you get what you pay for. Slightly thicker than most this makes it easier to install & no air bubbles. Read morePublished on 8 Jan. 2014 by Steve
Almost impossible to apply perfectly so you are left with bubbles and a misaligned protector. Don't bother if you are a perfectionist - waste of money!Published on 26 Dec. 2013 by Caroline Parsons
much easier to apply than others, once in place it is hardly visible. Will be buying more for our other phonesPublished on 23 Dec. 2013 by S R Siggery
