Book Description

UNDER SPANISH STARS An Andalucian Love Story
European Contemporary Romance Series Book 3

Another heartwarming contemporary romance from Anna Pagram, UNDER SPANISH STARS charts the love life of Catalina (Cat) Meredith, a free-lance journalist and astrologer for the women’s magazine La Confianza. It is a story of powerful sensuality and passion with the romantic action moving between the heat of Andalucia in Southern Spain and London in the UK.
As if ordained by fate, Cat is writing an article for the Romantic Weekends slot and first meets Dominic Ravensdale in one of Cordoba’s hotel patios. Their second meeting is in London’s West End, in the offices of La Confianza.
However, Shakespeare’s observation that “the course of true love never did run smooth” certainly applies to the passionate relationship that develops between Cat and Dominic, and their story is characterised by a series of misunderstandings and misinterpretation.
Take this story with you on holiday or if it’s raining, snowing or generally grey outside, treat yourself to some sunshine at home and immerse yourself in this unashamedly romantic tale.

More entrancing novels in the European Contemporary Romance Series by Anna Pagram:

Book 1 RHODES TO ROMANCE
Book 2 TEMPTATION IN TUSCANY
Book 4 PASSION IN PROVENCE A Sensual Tale of Romance and Rapture
Book 5 LOVE IN THE LAKES A tale of desire, deception and loss

The novels in this series are linked by the strongly romantic nature of their themes and their European locations. Each story is separate and stands alone in other respects.

This is what reviewers had to say about other bestselling books by Anna Pagram:

RHODES TO ROMANCE Book 1 in the European Romance Series:

“Thoroughly enjoyable read. Easy to get lost in the beautiful descriptions of the Island of Rhodes and in the various strong emotions of the characters.”

“Anna Pagram writes beautifully.”

“Made me want to visit Rhodes and have a romance myself.”

“Easy read, chosen because of Greek island setting and turned out to be better than expected. A great book for holidays.”

“A wonderful book written by a talented writer. This author has a true gift for using language to create atmosphere and draw you into the story. It's a very satisfying read as the story flows. Wishing this author much success! And again, I'd recommend this book to anyone!”

TEMPTATION IN TUSCANY Book 2 in the European Romance Series:

“Great, easy to read romance. The book was really well written.”

“I especially loved the romantic setting in Florence and the Umbrian hills. This was a great mix of romance and mystery …… an extremely enjoyable and highly recommended read.”

“Light hearted romance for a holiday read. Good sense of place.”

“I read this book in one sitting. The few characters in this book were interesting, complicated and fun to read. The love story between Saskia and Nico was realistic and exciting. Well done.”

“I really enjoyed this book. Italian romantic atmosphere and a very well written story with strong and believable characters.”

More About the Author

Anna Pagram was born south of London in the UK but has spent most of her adult life in the north west of the country. She has loved reading for as long as she can remember, from Enid Blyton in the early days to a whole range of genres throughout her life. She started writing stories when she was still in single figures and believes that they can help us to make sense of our own lives and understand other people better.
An avid reader herself, she knows that there is nothing better than losing yourself in a good story and becoming immersed in the plot and the lives of the characters.
As well as writing novels, Anna adores (and also writes) poetry. After a long career in education and with her family grown, she has now embarked upon the next stage in her life. Travelling with her husband has become a favourite activity, realising the dream of visiting beautiful places and experiencing other cultures.
Following the success of RHODES TO ROMANCE, TEMPTATION IN TUSCANY, UNDER SPANISH STARS and PASSION IN PROVENCE, Anna has recently published the fifth novel in her European Contemporary Romance Series: LOVE IN THE LAKES, A tale of desire, deception and loss, set in the beautiful English Lake District.
Update: A Special Collection, ROMANCE IN THE SUN, is also now available, with Volumes 1,2 & 3 of the ECR Series - a bargain at 3 for the price of 2.

Brilliant romance! I loved the story and characters. The writing flows and it reads very easily. I now want to go to Cordoba and Granada for myself! I got this as a freebie but would happily have paid for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great romance 8 Dec. 2013

Having read and enjoyed Anna Pagram’s other books I was pleased to see another. The beautiful descriptions of places in Andalucia really took me back to my own times in Southern Spain. The love story was great with lots of emotional twists. Highly recommended.

Nice little book but with too many adjectives and adverbs which weren't necessary by just served to pad the book out. Git bored with it by the end.

3.0 out of 5 stars Slightly annoying 14 Jun. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is one of those books in which the author has, it seems, almost tried too hard to create an atmosphere. I found the descriptive language somewhat 'obvious' so that, instead of my being lost completely in the storyline, I was overly aware of the rather self-conscious use of adjectives. Disappointing, as I love fiction set in other countries and was looking forward to reading this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear 6 Jun. 2014

I love this part of Spain and know it well. I bought this hoping to get a sense of place and a good story line. It is so badly written that it is hard to read it. I wish I had tried it soon enough to send it back.
