The sound might be quite loud, but I found a lot of detail to be lost. I could maybe live with this for films, but for music, it's pretty poor. I was disappointed as after reading HiFi magazines raving about this, I had high hopes. On the plus side, it looks fantastic, and the speakers are tiny. It is quite cheap, but maybe not for you if you want to listen to music.

I was trying to find a 5.1 system what was small anoth for my bedroom what i could use with my PS3. The SONY 5.1 is perfect the little speakers fit on the tops of my bed posts. ( i can hear people sneeking up on me in moden warfair game )
The 5.1 system comes with a mine mike piece what tunes the speakers to the shape of the room.
This Sony suround sound is perfect for game playing, films and music. Some people say its not good for music when its turned up lowed but this is because they havent set it up proply. I listen to Trance, Hardcore and house and its pucker.
