Ex-nightclub bouncer Brooklyn Rhodes makes his living from gambling, counting cards at blackjack. In a London casino he meets Roulette Rex who is being blackmailed by some Russian gangsters and in a Shepherd's Bush cafe he meets Katya, a Russian waitress having problems with her husband. As Brooklyn becomes embroiled in both of their lives, a figure from his past comes back to haunt him wanting a large amount of cash that he thinks Brooklyn stole from him. Trying to sort out three problems at once isn't easy, and if Brooklyn can make some money along the way then all well and good. From the mean streets of London to the sea streets of Hastings, Brooklyn leaves a trail of bodies in his wake.
