Just buy yourself a cheap pair of gloves (or a multi-pack for a few pounds) and customize them with a pair of scissors. I can't believe people are paying such extortionate prices for what amounts to half a glove...

If you took an additional 15 minutes to actually sew a seam around the cut area, your custom made 'smudgeguard' would resist unravelling, plus you would have the satisfaction of knowing that you haven't been ripped off for £30.

I mean...Come on, people buying this are supposed to be creative, right??

I bought one of these from the company's site for a little more than £13 (shipping included), so you might want to consider getting yours there.

The reasons why I wanted to try one is that I draw quite a lot with tablets and on paper and, additionally, I have RSI and other problems with my right hand which cause just those two fingers to become unbelievably cold and, ultimately, hurt after a while I've been drawing.

I find that the material this glove is made of is enough to keep my fingers reasonably warm, letting me draw for longer periods of time. It also makes my hand slide more easily, which contributes to easiness of drawing. Usually, after a while, my two fingers start hurting a bit but with the glove - maybe because the fingers slide more easily on paper/tablet they don't get so cramped so easily/fast.

I also tried it on a normal sketchbook for a fair few hours, sketching with a B2 pencil for several hours and I can say it does help with the smudging. It's much more comfortable than keeping a piece of paper under my palm.
I've not tried it with textured paper or other kinds of pencils, charcoals etc.

On the small size, I noticed that at first my ring finger felt a bit tighter compared to the little finger. After a couple of days this sensation went away, so I assume I just needed to wear it for a while. I'm right between the two sizes, according the size chart they have on their site so, if you have very long fingers and fall between the two, you might want to consider going for a medium.

I will start by reviewing the product as this is what it is about. The Smudgeguard 2 is a must for any Wacom Cintiq user, not only does it stop you getting grease from you hands on the screen, it also cleans the screen as your hand glides across it, and enables you hand to glide more smoothly across the screen.

If you value your Cintiq or want a give to stop getting carbon smears on your hand from the pencil lead, then this is perfect for you. The smudge guard was originally designed for left handed people so they could write more naturally and allow their hands to glide over their words without risk of smudging their writing.

The Price!!!

This is probably the most expensive Smudgeguard 2 i have never seen! You can get one for £13.99 + £1.75 P&P from:
