4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job well, 16 Dec 2006
By Paul Madge (West Sussex UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
I live in a marginal signal area for Freeview - so I bought this and it does the job well - it amplifies the signal to the point where the DVB box gives me 30 plus channels without a glitch - without it I could only get one or two channels. The only criticism is that it is a bit bulky and takes up a fair width around the socket e.g. with some extension sockets you won't be able to use the sockets either side of this because of the width, plus, on my version the LED doesn't light although the device is clearly working. However, in overall terms the resulting picture is very good and that's what it is all about.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works a Treat!, 27 Jan 2009
By Big Bertha (UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
I get a pretty good freeview reception with the exception of a few channels which depending on the weather can be watchable or the breaking signal can be a pain.

This signal booster works great - just plugged in my aerial lead and it gave me the little bit of extra I needed to guarantee a watchable broadcast on all channels.

The only downside (as noted by the previous reviewer), it's pretty bulky and if you're using it in a double socket or extension lead this can cause problems fitting other plugs next to it.

Does what it's meant to - I'd recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars great, 24 April 2009
By PF JENNINGS "play51.co.uk" (Uk) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Before:
42 free-view channels.

After:
104 channels all with good picture.

Pros:
Good if your picture is bad.

Cons:
Fairly big box, and takes up two plug spaces due to size.
