Purchased to assist with better DAB reception with our Sony CD/DAB/FM Ipod station.
Wired up the new aerial with simple clear instructions, pluged it into the unit and even without fitting
to an exterior wall, enambled us to tune in all available DAB radio channels, just sitting out of sight on top
of a kitchen cupboard. Just the job : )

I had tried all sorts of indoor aerials for my DAB radio with poor results. Mounted this on an external wall and, Bingo, perfect reception. Comes with all the fittings you need and clear instructions. Am ordering a second for another DAB radio we have and am fitting it in the loft - with, I suspect, similar results.

I recently bought a Sony DAB hifi unit together with this aerial, having been told that reception in my area was weak. Without the aerial the hifi provided three DAB stations with poor reception. With the aerial I can get 25 DAB stations most with very good reception. This aerial is a 'must'.

i ordered this dab aerial because the dab reception with the wire aerial supplied with my Yamaha ipod dab dock was so poor i could only pick up the strong bbc channels in west yorkshire on fitting this aerial in the eaves of my garage i can now receive all the available channels at 100% strength .

Does exactly what it says, was bought as while I could get DAB via wire aerials in some rooms, in office which has foil backed plasterboard it was no service at all.

Connected the F-connectors and uncoiled wire, and viola works great. Have not even had to wander into loft space, as dropped aerial down behind a cabinet and reception is still good. Will move to loft at some later date, when tidying up the office.

I recently took delivery from Amazon of this DAB aerial Kit. It included a partially assembled aerial, 20metres RG6 coax cable, two 'F' 'plugs, for connections between receiver and aerial box. Also included was a square aluminium Boom for wall mounting and all cable clips, screws and wall plugs required. Really fantastic value for money. Found that aerial was manufactured by the Philex group, which is the parent company of Labgear, a very respected manufacturer of TV and Radio accessories.
Now for the not so good part of my observations: I assembled the aerial in accordance with the supplied instruction leaflet. On connecting to my DAB receiver, results were satisfactory, but not outstanding, being on a par with my existing wire aerial supplied with my receiver. I was somewhat disappointed as I felt it should perform much better! Being an electronics engineer, with some experience of aerial design theory, I was perplexed to see that the way the aerial was assembled resulted in the remote centre of the folded dipole being electrically connected to the aluminium mounting boom. This is NOT good practice and makes the boom electrically part of the aerial, negating the critical dimensions of the aerial for best operation at the DAB frequencies. (220 to 230 MHz approx) In addition the boom, was attached as instructed,to the outside of the dipole using a pre-installed metal M4 screw and associated wing nut. This resulted in the boom not locating correctly in the moulded centre groove of the plastic connection box and subjecting the dipole to some strain.

I bought this aerial to replace the weedy bit of wire that comes with most shelf DAB radios.Although living in a strong signal area I could only receive a few stations and these often had bubbling interfearance.I looked at various indoor aerials and then decided to buy this outdoor aerial and use it indoors (I didn't want wires trailing across the room).I have put it behind the shelf unit that my receiver sits on so it is out of sight. The reception is now crystal clear and I have lots more stations available.
