Had it for a month. Wife loves it for quads, gluts and back. The instructions printed in it are great. Better than the knobby rollers we have used.

Cheap quality 18 Mar 2014

The roller's shape was deformed (possibly due to improper storage) so it is shaped like an oval instead of a circle. This makes it more difficult to use since it slips a lot instead of rolling.
The plastic cover with instructions comes out slowly from one end every time you roll, and it's difficult to put it back in place.
Overall, I'm frustrated by this product. It's no better than any cheap basic roller.

Works out the kinks in my back! 20 Mar 2014

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I've used similar foal rollers at the YMCA. The stretches printed on the roller are great, but I can't exactly see them while I'm using the roller. Printed instructions would've been helpful, but I'm glad just to have a guide. After so many runs, I've realized I'm tighter in a lot of places than I realized.

This can reportedly support a person who weighs 300 lb (136 kg). My main complaint is that the sleeve with the instructions tends to slip off gradually during use. I've seen similar products cheaper elsewhere, and you can easily find videos on how to use these kinds of rollers (ex: YouTube).

Love The Exercises Printed On The Roller 6 Mar 2014

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I've wanted to try a sport roller for a while, to help with stretching, so I was excited to get this one and give it a try.

This is a nice firm sport foam roller.
It has 12 different exercises that include the instructions printed right on the roller, which is helpful as you can look at it and start using it right away.
The size is great for me (5'6")

This is a nice tool for home use that is easy to both use and stash.

Awkward, Painful on My Tender Points 20 Feb 2014
By Kathy K - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I see I’m in the minority in not liking the SKLZ TRAINERroller Sport Performance Self Guided Foam Roller so let me just state upfront that I have fibromyalgia-type flares in which I have painful pressure points, which makes exercising extremely difficult. I was hoping this product would help me get back into the regular workout routine I used to enjoy. Unfortunately using this product as instructed on the roller seems to be producing pain in me rather than lessening it. This is due to the fact that the foam is quite hard, which it has to be to bear the up to 300 pounds it promises.

I had also hoped to be able to use this roller as an exercise aid, not just to stretch out sore muscles after the fact. In particular, I envisioned using it as a neck support while doing abdominal crunches. Alas, here again, it’s not a good fit for me. It’s too long (about 24 inches) to hold onto while I’m raising my upper body and thus makes my shoulders hurt in addition to my neck.

Finally, I question the quality control at SKLZ. The foam of the TRAINERroller is wrapped in a covering, which extends down past the foam on one end on the one I received, leaving an aggravating overlap.

Obviously most people using this device are not going to have the medical issues I do. It’s a sturdily made product that I think will hold up well and likely will be effective for a majority of people using it. It’s just not right for me.

Best investment you can make 26 Dec 2013

If you have tight muscles and trigger points, this is what you need. The positions for working on each muscle group are printed on the roller. If it had a loop so you could carry it, it would be perfect.
