Overkill for most travel 20 Sep 2010
By David K. Miller - Published on Amazon.com
I bought a version of this keyboard case four years ago to transport an Alesis QS1 keyboard to local jobs. The case is really, really heavy! Even with the wheels, trying to lug the loaded case into venues was difficult. Unless you need flight case protection, look for something lighter and designed to fit your keyboard's actual dimensions.

Note: I had no complaints about the quality of the case or fittings. It's built like a tank.

Wow, I've ordered a lot of stuff off Amazon over the last year and this is definatly one of the best purchases so far. Solid construction, good size, exactly as advertised...and god damned cheap to boot :oP thanks so much for this wonderful product.... Gotta say it arrived a hell of a lot faster than I expected too. A great purchase I fully recommend if you need a case for your digital keyboard especially when traveling. 10/10

SKB keyboard case 28 April 2012

Wheels are in a cheap plastic housing, one of which shattered after rolling less than 100 feet. SKB hustled out a pair of replacements--but the wrong type. I left a message to explain which type I needed but no response after a week. The case itself is OK, not especially heavy duty, but decent enough for the gig a month or so I do. It is larger than I needed, but the extra storage is welcome. The handles and locks are good, and the padding adequate. I say upgrade the housing and it's a 3 star plus case.

I love SKB cases !! 30 Aug 2008

What can I say...I have owned a lot of keyboards over the years, and have had lightweight cases that have fallen apart, as well as very durable cases that weighed a ton. The SKB cases are the ONLY cases that I have owned that consistently deliver top notch protection and durability while being feather-light...in fact, other than my NORD stuff (that all have soft red carry bags), all my portable gear is protected by SKB cases (6 in all). In fact, my Yamaha Motif XS8 and XS7 have Yamaha factory cases that were actually MANUFACTURED by SKB...quite a confirmation of quality, coming from Yamaha...very cool. So, if you really care about your gear, and don't have trained gorillas to be your roadies, get SKB's for all your stuff.

Weak. Terrible. Horrible. 5 Aug 2010

Thing was obviously busted from a factory defect despite it having someones signature in it (Handwritten) that they had inspected it. Waaaaaaaayyyyyyy to big unless you have a frekin massive board. Thinish plastic, not enough padding. Do yourself a favor and get a different one. The minimum dimesions on this thing are wayyyyyy off. Dont buy.
