An album of outstanding invention, brilliant songs which are all at once dazzling in their complexity whilst sounding endearingly wonky and ramshackle. Latest single Serotinin is probably the stand-out, a real hairs-on-the-back-of-your-neck belter, but this is that rarest of records: a cracking album without a single weak link. Simplekid is definitely going to go stratospheric.

Got hold of this album recently as recommended by a muso friend. It is fabulous lo-fi at its best. I have been buying a lot of main stream music journo recommended stuff over the last few years and have on the whole been disappointed that much of it has not clicked. You know the buzz when you hear something that genuinely clicks with you. I hope Simple Kid doesn't get too big so the creativity can continue to ooze!
Songs have cracking melodies hidden away which once you unlock them become addictive!
Buy it and enjoy!

Far, far more effective and just better than Cet Cape's effort to convey the all encompassing lifestyle of today's youthful musical scene.

Lil' King Kong is a fantastic opener and Serotonin is as good as anything I heard last year. Every song is different and all are accessable and deep enough for plenty of listening.

A brilliant mix of styles and ideas which only misses out on an extra star as it should have had one more track on it. Do yourself a favour and have a listen soon.
