4.0 out of 5 stars Secure and stable 9 Dec 2012
By John-HP
Verified Purchase
Need to spend a few minutes getting them to fit properly but once on they seem more secure than others I`ve tried, also they seem quite stable on a hard floor unlike the others, I think I could walk around a supermarket with these on so no need to take them off when entering the store ( easy ) and put them back on ( a bit trickier ) when leaving the store.
I take 9 to 9 1/2 shoe size so I bought the large size ( 9 - 12 ), they fit nicely on my normal shoes and also on my walking shoes with a bit of stretching.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sizes 15 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase
Just be careful with the sizes - I take anything from a size 7 to 8 depending on manufacturer (26.5cm is generally what I need) and the 9-12 version of these snow grips fits my trainers quite well.

I also have some Merrell winter boots in size 7.5 and the 9-12 grips fit perfectly.

When ordering remember that it is the outside size of he shoe/boot that matters not just what size it is.

Easily a 5* rated product if the sizing was better.

1.0 out of 5 stars Size problems 23 Jan 2013
Although these snow and ice grips are labelled for shoe sizes 9-12 - buyer beware! No happy clients exist with shoe size 12! If you buy one of these supposedly 'large' overshoes, the heel of the unit will reach at most your instep. You will teeter around, wobbling alarmingly from one side to another like a drunken rhinocerous in high-heeled shoes. Danger will lurk at every step, catastrophic slippage, large medical bills, psychological counselling and physical rehabilitation.

I am not saying there aren't many happy clients with shoe sizes 7 and 8 and even 9. I am merely saying these overshoes aren't big enough for people with shoe sizes 12 by a very long shot. They're minuscule! Half the size of the normal foot of a size 12-footed person!

Manufacturer - please manufacture an "extra large" size. Your quality is good, even excellent. But your labelling is shamefully deceptive.

4.0 out of 5 stars work well 20 Jan 2013
By lad

well i got these for the bad weather, they work ok, fit my size 10 shoes OK but another pair they wont stay on so maybe i have to stretch them more, walking on snow/ice is OK but when you go to normal pavement it feels a bit strange as the blades are raised a fair way so leaves you feeling a bit uneven.
also they can be a bugger to put on, i would not want to remove them when going into a shop and then refit them as there tricky as already said, maybe if i had smaller feet they would be better.

1.0 out of 5 stars WTF? these are tiny! 3 April 2013
Verified Purchase
I haven't managed to get them on yet, as I'm extremely worried they'll either split or damage my shoes. I bought size 9-12, the biggest available, and I'm a size 9.

They are just crazy small, I realise they need to fit tightly, but seriously this is ridiculous. They do look like they will grip well however, but as I can't get them on, and have probably missed all the snow this year I can't really review them. Perhaps a soak in hot water will make them more malleable, but really too small for the size stated.

5.0 out of 5 stars very useful indeed 28 Feb 2013

Really help in the snow and ice 100% better ability to navigate the horrors of winter.. However upon entering an area of marble flooring they should be removed ( which is very easy) putting them on again to go out in the ice is a little more strenuous ..Now I have them I will never be without them in Winter 5+++++

4.0 out of 5 stars HaaH 21 Feb 2013

Great for walking on ice and snow, the spikes could do with being little bit wider on the sole as all the weight is on the centre of the boot.

5.0 out of 5 stars They work 13 Feb 2013

The grips are well made and easy to put on (even a size 12 shoe) if you don't put your shoes on your feet first. I like the way they come up the side of the shoe. Tried them in ice and in snow and they work

1.0 out of 5 stars Size 9-12 Overshoe snow and ice grips.
