Privately published this is a fine account of the history of the small Wylye Valley village of Sherrington in Wiltshire. Taking in turn a review of its history and main dwellings and of course the church ( a gem ) it also covers the main economic factors prevailing from agriculture, both cattle and the growing of watercress to the development of the railway which runs through the edge of the village. If you know the village it will give you a thorough history of its development, if not you may still get some benefit if you enjoy social history.
