1.0 out of 5 stars dont buy! 24 Feb 2010

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
if you dont have the xbox 360 controller DONT BUY!!!! unfortunatly i only have a normal xbox controller, wish i hadnt wasted my money, game installs fine untill you come to start it, in my experience you cant even play the game on fullscreen, and the menu only gives xbox controller commands so i couldnt get past the first menu(you cant continue till you say yes to autosave) so as has been said dont buy unless you have an xbox 360 controller or a patch is released

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money 18 Feb 2010

Such a waste of money unless you've got an Xbox 360 controller -- the game doesn't even support regular Windows keyboard, only Xbox 360 controllers

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great with an XBOX 360 controller 15 April 2010

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
There is lot of fun to be had in this game, as long as you've got a xbox 360 controller for Windows. It is a very addictive game, so get a 360 controller if you haven't got one. Most PC gamers should have a 360 controller, how else will you play driving games?

The graphics is this game is cool as well, just look at some videos on youtube to proof my point.

1.0 out of 5 stars No support for my Logitech gamepad 19 Feb 2010

Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
Well this game probably rocks if you have X-Box controler plugged in. But unfortunately (as it's common with Console->PC) it's buggy. Basically if you have no X-Box controller and it says "press A" (with a nice little bitmap of a button with an A on it), you'd have to (MAGICALLY mind you) know what that means, well it's no big problem as there are a limited number of buttons and once you strike gold you write down "A = 3" (on my Logitech there's a number on each button). However, in the game I mainly bought because I like to go REALLY fast, I am to press a button called "RT" to actually GO really fast in Super-G, now I've gone over EACH button on my pad, and guess what, it's not there! I immediately went to settings and found a controller-setup option, to my amazement all I could do was turn on rumble-feedback (which I don't have). Exit the game, went to my "Logitech profiler", tried to map a button to the keypress of "Y" and also tried to map it to the "Right mouse button". Unfortunately neither work.

I mean what the hell is going on? This game has passed through the hands of Microsoft and gotten the seal of approval (Games for Windows), yet it doesn't support generic DirectX-inputs. Guess that reveals the value of that stamp. Pull your thumbs out and patch this so that you can remap the controls. I'll remove this review when a patch has been issued.

The game looks fantastic, the response-curve for the axees appear flawlessly natural (although my right up/down-axis is a duplicate of left left/right-axis). I have a very fast PC, so everything is maxed out and it looks stunning on my computer, making it even more painful that the game isn't supporting simple DirectX-Input.
