I've been a massive fan of the Football Manager series for a few years now, and for me, Football Manager 2011 on PC represented the best yet in the series.

However having become a dad this year, I simply no longer have the time to invest in playing the 2012 edition. And having seen so many unfavourable reviews for FM 2012 on PC, I decided for the first time to purchase it for PSP instead. It's far better than i thought it would be, i'm pleasantly surprised.

Although nowhere near as detailed as it's PC counterpart, it's arguably just as much fun. If not, more fun.

You get to fiddle with formations, team selections, buy/sell players etc just as you would with the PC edition, but you also don't have to go through all those lengthy press conferences/media interviews that became quite tedious after a while in last year's game.

In the PC version, it can take you a good 15-20 minutes or so just to set up your formation, pick the team, issue team instructions, individual player instructions, and do your team talk before you actually get to the match. Whereas the PSP game on the other hand, is perfect for people with less time on their hands (like me) to play whenever they get a spare 20 minutes.

All in all, 5 stars from me :)

This is my favorite game of all time. It is simple to play and very addictive. Every season is different. Each year I buy the latest version as soon as it is released, having played the previous version constantly for a year. It is especially good for passing time on long journeys as it is based on strategy rather than button bashing so games can be left to run at certain times without interference. The player stats are well researched and I have noted that relatively unknown players who have progressed in the game have also developed in the real world of football. I thoroughly recommend it.

Good game, I've been playing FM 2010 until this came out and the only differences are the teams are updated as the end of the August 11 transfer window and a few tweaks in the interaction, but everything else is the same. But having said that the game is still very addictive and easy to play. It is however very easy to win once you've found the ideal formation.

I buy this game every year for the updated squads but unfortunatly this year there is too many squad players missing from it, leaving some squads very thin and lots of popular older or youth players missing completely. Also they should`ve changed more than just the squads too make it more appealing to others to buy.

It's better on the PC, but the PSP version does not shy away.
It's a really addictive game, one you could spend hours on a day.
Very realistic pricing for players. Tactics are spot on.
If you're into football management games then this is the one for you.

If you have bought previous PSP Football manager games then I wouldn`t bother with this. Still a great game but apart from player updates no other changes to game.
