Was skeptical as always wary with energy saving things.

But I ordered after reading some of the reviews and husband saying about changing over I went for the price initially as we are bit tight with money lol

Ok took a few days to arrive and that was on Amazon Prime BUT it does state that so that's ok The packaging was not brilliant via Amazon and could of been packed better

They arrived this morning and this evening hubby changed over the 8 halogen GU10 50watt bulbs in kitchen for the new ones I thought it wont be that good WRONG so wrong...

The light is bright crisp and clear its shocking Hubby who actually is like Scrooge a miserable old git couldn't stop singing the praises of these lights (And believe me he is hard to impress)

So lets take a recap 8 x 50watt halogens = 400watts NEW BULBS 8 x 3:5watts = 28watts total NO CONTEST

Light as I said is bright I could actually get away with taking down middle spotlight bar and just leaving the other four single down-lighters in on their own
My one regret is I did not video the old lighting in kitchen and then the new But will do when the next lot as I am about order more to change bathroom change bathroom
My advice go for it well worth it and you save in long run

Moving into a new house I realised that the whole downstairs kitchen was fitted with 16 50W halogen GU10 bulbs! After some research and trying Amazon's best-selling 50W-equivalent 5W LED bulbs, I noticed the light was much too harsh (even with the warm white ones) and a lot brighter than that of 50W halogen ones. At a lower wattage of 3.5W I decided to give these a go by first buying a single one. Although, as some other reviews have mentioned, they are still brighter than the 50W halogen bulbs, I actually preferred them being that bit brighter as the 50W halogens were a bit on the dull side for me personally. The 93% saving in wattage was big enough of a plus point for me to order 2 packs to replace all the GU10 bulbs in my house.

The delivery was very prompt and the bulbs were all individually packaged and arrived in good, working condition.

After moving into a new house last year, there were GU10's everywhere. The kitchen had 5 which at 50 watts each = 250 watts, & that was just for the kitchen, so I wanted something that was cheaper to use.
These Sebson's are great value LED bulbs and have been reliable since installing them during December 2013. I initially purchased the 50 watt equivalent (380lm 2700k colour) but found them way too bright especially because the wide angle created too much glare. The colour of the light 2700k, matched the previous Halogen GU10's perfectly though. I then swapped them for the 240lm (2700k colour) but found these were not bright enough. This model (300lm 2900k colour) is a happy compromise. The brightness is just right (still brighter than standard Halogen 30 watts - probably matches 40/50 watt halogens) and the colour temperature is 2900k, so they are a little bit whiter that the others but not unnecessarily so and I soon got used to them. It's a shame they don't do these in the warmer 2700k colour though which would make them perfect. All credit to Sebson/Amazon for allowing me to swap them.

Like a number of others, a house move caused me to assess electrical usage and a large number of 50W halogens was consuming lots of electricity. I purchased these after reading other positive reviews and am very happy with them. Initially expensive but they will save money in the long term. I checked and all 10 were in working order. The light produced is much better (less yellow than halogens), and it's reduced shadows due to the greater 120 degree arc of lighting.

Great replacement for my halogen spot lights all over the house. Much brighter than I expected and decent beam angle (not as wide as the halogens they replaced but good enough). Colour temperature was warm and acceptable, not halogens warm but almost there and most didn't tell the difference. Best LED GU10's I have tried.

I would have given them 5 stars had they been as warm as halogens.

Note: these are almost exactly the dimensions of a normal GU10 and fit my fixture quite well. Other LED's didn't, needed long necked versions.

I had 4/40 watt halogen bulbs in my kitchen and bathroom, and I hadn't really realised quite how much electricity was used by halogens until I bought an Owl meter. The electric oven, iron, kettle, washing machine were all quickly identified as serial offenders, but I was surprised at how much electricity the halogen bulbs used, so with the approaching winter and long dark nights requiring hours of illumination, I splashed out on these LEDs. Delivery was very quick and once installed and switched on I was really surprised at the excellent level of brightness. They are easily as bright as my old halogens, but slightly cooler in colour temperature. However the big difference is in electricity usage - from 160 to 14 in one fell swoop. As far as reliability goes, there has been no hint of flickering over the past couple of months, but a full winter will be the acid test...perhaps I will provide an update in March 2015. However so far I am really pleased with them and would definitely recommend!
