This is undoubtedly one of the most powerful and effective vacuums I've ever used. The strength of the suction is unbeleivable! I also like how you can hoover hard floors with either the main brush or the parquet floor attachment whicj is obviously much easier than a brush.(Comes with lots of attachments)

The main brush head can reach under beds and sofas due to the fact the sofa goes almost totally flat and the stair attachment with moving roller is fantastic for pet hairs.

With its cool retro look it nice to look at. Kind of iconic.I hate to say this but I actaully enjoy hoovering with this! (Blush blush, yes I'm a saddo! )

NOw for the not too good points. Well, it is heavy to carry around. Its unstable on stairs meaning you have to detatch all brushes and change position of handle to either carry it or lay flat on step above or below. If the main hoovering attachment isnt locked properly the whole thing falls over - and after paying so much for this caused me alarm until I was releved to find I hadnt broken it!

The opening flaps to open to change bags are strange and seem a bit cheap on such a great (and expensive!) vacuum. LIkewise, the handle can be moved up or down but its fiddly to do, and the switch to do this doesnt feel right. It always feels like you're going to break it because your doing something you're not meant to do.

Overall I have no regrets at all about this purchase. The niggles are minor and I love the fact that this really can genuinely be used for carpets AND hard floors. It really does 'feel' like an expensive and very professional cleaning tool.

Probably not a good ides to use on expensive speciality rugs. It was starting to 'munch up' my Chinese rug as it was too powerful, but you could get round that by using the low power option and an upholstery or stair brush.

Liked it very much.

This machine is incredible. I have tried and owned many different makes of vacuum cleaners including the so called best ones. However this model actually does what it claims and with one quick sweep, collects all the feathers and fur from the carpet. There is also very little dusting to do which shows how much other vacuum cleaners throw out dust into the air. Highly recommended by an asthmatic animal lover!

We have recently bought a Sebo pet to replace our Horrid Henry which I have had - and hated! - for years. The Sebo is so brilliant that I almost enjoy cleaning now. All the long hairs from our 3 dogs are picked up incredibly efficiently - one swipe across the carpet, and it's clean! If you've ever used a horrid Henry you'll know how amazing that is - with the HH you have to drag it backwards and forwards across the carpet until you're exhausted. We have a mixture of carpets, rugs, stone and wood floors, and the Sebo is perfect on all of them. I wish I'd bought one years ago. Definitely worth the money - and it looks good, too. Fantastci!

Fantastic vacuum cleaner, made the carpets look like new. It is a little heavy but so easy to manouvre round furniture the vacuuming gets done very quickly and all the dog hairs are gone. Highly recommended.

This is amazing. I thought very hard before I selected this one and I looked at the reviews. I was put off by some of the reviews saying that it falls over bt I went with this one and I am so pleased. It does not fall over easily and it is brilliant. If anything can get me into doing the housework this does and my husband now likes hoovering which is a big bonus. Easy to do the changes with the heads and a lot lighter than any other cleaner that I have before. (I have many)

I have had this nice vacuum for just over six months now and I am just loving the results. The vacuum is extremely light in weight and stylish for an upright and yet it does its job very well. The other upright from Seba is less flexible and heavier and the one from Miele needs someone (as one reviewer has rightfully commented) who has bulging biceps.I bought this after much search on the uprights and it seems that I have made the right choice!. When it comes to power, you can get an idea of it by me mentioning that I was using the vacuum without any loss of suction while the bag was completely full and the upper part of the tube starting to get full as well (it is desgined in a way that makes the air sucked from the bottom through the tube and the to the bag.

Some practicalities regarding this vacuum. The brush in the bottom of the vacuum can be very easily taken out and cleaned. The vacuum gets hot very easily. The tube is very stiff and short, so vacuuming corners with it is not that easy and this is the main design error in this vacuum. Bags are paper only, but in my case lasted for quite some time (three to four months in a 1 bedroom flat) so it is not a really big expense. The other possible design error is the fact the height of the brushes can be adjusted manually.

All in all I can't recommend this highly enough especially if you wany an upright and you are very short in space. if it wasn't for the cord which is not retractable, I would happily put it in the living room as a nice looking peice of furniture.
