Scrubs: The Complete Fifth Series comes to DVD, contagious with extras including an extended cut of the 10th episode and a behind scenes look at the 5 years at Sacred Heart. As the gang enter their fifth year with the changes they made in conclusion to series 4, they find out just how scary change is, as JD begins his life on his own, and Elliot begins her fellowship, while Turk and Carla start their road to becoming a family.

Series 5 enters with a sollection of ultimate episodes including the 100th, My Way Home, directed by Zach Braff, His Story III - following the life of the Janitor and Her Story II following Carla and of course, the evr so talked about, My Lunch (which includes directors commentary).

If that's not enough, then come meet some of the short term residents including Billy Dee Williams (Star Wars), Mandy Moore, Elizabeth Banks & Jason Bateman.

You'll be a fool not to own this DVD!

But of course there is some negative points about the series, which includes the unfortunate arrival of the "stoner humour" which slowly turns Scrubs from an original show, to a typical sitcom. But this is Scrubs, and of course they still dodge that bullet to making the "stoner humour" into Scrubs humour.

5.0 out of 5 stars More comedy medicine 6 July 2007
By T. R. Alexander TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
After a rather lacklustre effort in season four, the great medical comedy Scrubs returns to form for its fifth season. This year sees Turk and Carla trying for a baby; Dr Cox has a crisis and J.D. his usual clumsy self. The best episode of the season has to be the 100th episode `My Way Home' a brilliantly made and funny homage to the Wizard of Oz, this one episode more than makes up for the faults in the previous season. The acting is great throughout and of special note is John McGinley's performance as Dr Cox. Always one of the best people in the show his performance in this season is always good this year especially in the episode `My Lunch'. Generally although still not as good as season three, Scrubs remains one of the funniest shows around.

5.0 out of 5 stars too good 25 Jun 2007
By sean paul mccann VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
series 5 of the near forever ending show certainly has the fans divided, certainly this appears to be the first time in the series when such a split has been noticed, some say that this series is too silly and not just in J.D's head, some say that J.D is too mean and selfish and not like his usual self in this series and some say that the show is retracing old steps in what they do,well after viewing this series i cant agree with any of that, this series could well be the best yet, flawless and brilliant are two superlatives that im throwing scrubs way yet again.

Series 5 is again filled with laughs, character building, drama, morals that make you think, stories that leave you thirsty for more and all of that makes for tv of the highest calibre.

Scrubs was always more than a comedy, its a show that deals with tragedy in and out of the hospital setting,J.D's inner monolouge brings incite to everything and as well as being funny is reflective and profound and some of the lessons learnt send shivers spiralling out of my spine, the 24 episodes here feature all that we love about the show and i aint going to give anything away here, but it wont hurt to say that at the end of series 3 and four there werent any cliffhangers, well that aint the case here, shocking stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laugh a minute.
Scrubs is VERY funny. The humour is slapstick and easy to watch, there are longer storylines but episode by episode are also good watches and you can catch up quickly.

Enjoyed season 5 of scrubs. It isn't as good as the first 4, but I'm still hooked and it's still great.
