5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent, realistic, edgy read 8 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The author has obviously drawn upon his experiences and knowledge of his sea going career for this new title and it shows. This is an excellent, well written book again by Parfitt on a subject that has briefly entered the public eye but all to soon faded away with the next big news story that came along. This story tells the hopes and fears of a hijacked crew on a dive ship but is also intertwined with the flip side of the coin, the pirates themseleves and their story. This is a book of unusual subject matter thats a refreshing change from the standard, well worn road that alot of thrillers / action novels seem to tread these days. I wonder what he's going to do next?

5.0 out of 5 stars Topical, gripping and believable! 30 Nov 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
It's a cliche I know, but I just could not put this book down! The abject poverty driving the pirates, the greed of the shipping lines, putting profits before safety, and the frustration of constraints of international law stopping the US Navy from doing its job. All this and a very human story line, with an unexpected twist, all add up to a compelling read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great adventure 8 Oct 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I thought I'd give this a go after being blown away by "snowfall". I wasnt disappointed. Parfitt is a relatively new author and his enthusiasm for storytelling is fantastic. This type of adventure novel is rare to the market these days and brings a real swashbuckling story to the 21st century. Top marks Mr Parfitt and keep them coming!
