Book Description

SEA BOUND: A Quilting Cozy (Book 3) continues the escapades of Sarah Miller and her cohorts living in Cunningham Village, a retirement community in the mid-west. Sarah and her friends escape to the islands on a quilting cruise, which offers creative quilting classes and loads of fun at sea.
Of course, there is a mystery to be solved, a touch of romance on the beach, a gambling debt gone bad, and a missing passenger, presumed dead. Sarah and Charles are determined to unravel the mysteries while Sophie, in her feisty unconventional way, continues to offer comic relief.
This sequel to TIE DIED and RUNNING STITCHES, the first two books in the Quilting Cozy series, continues to offer light mystery, loveable characters, and lots of quilting. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read 14 Jun. 2014

I enjoyed the book it was just my sort reading, and that is why I cannot give it the full 5 stars because I was disappointed that there are no further books in the same series, at least not at the moment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another good read 3 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This time I have noticed a few errors in grammar and spelling, but not enough to spoil my enjoyment of the story. Better proof reading required..... Still enjoying the quilting references and the romance of the main characters. Looking forward to the next instalment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Romance and mystery 10 Nov. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A lovely story of old age, quilting and romance with a mystery thrown in. Having just returned from a cruise, I found this an especially good read, as much of the story is set on a cruise ship! The characters are believable and the storyline sufficiently intruiging.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable! 26 Oct. 2013
By Janice B. Packard - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
As a quilter and a senior citizen, I found this book -- third in a series -- quite thoughtful and entertaining.
The main character is Sarah, who has recently moved to a senior citizen community and discovered quilting. Older women are not often the central character in a novel so it is gratifying to have her as the central character in this series. The author addresses some issues of aging, along with the active and fulfilling lives that seniors enjoy. This book includes a quilting cruise which includes both quilting and ship board activities, along with a mystery. It is a balanced mix of activities what will appeal to both quilters and non-quilters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next.

4.0 out of 5 stars Two Unrelated Stories 13 July 2014

This one was weaker than the others. Two entirely different stories clumped together and only a tiny tie in. And this time our heroine was much less on the ball and much more easily duped. Not miss Jones' best. Still, probably worth the time to read.
5.0 out of 5 stars If you are interested in quilting at any level...or cruises ...this is a great book for you! 13 July 2014

Especially attractive, to me, was the inclusion of people doing ordinary things -- even if they were older. Sadly, but quite realistically, were the accommodations older people must make to do these things. I will look for more of these books.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great story 26 Jun. 2014

Really loved this story. At first I thought the mystery was solved too soon, before the cruise. Then realized it would be on the cruise. The end was a surprise for me this time. I just returned from a cruise myself but am ready to go again and quilt on the days at sea.
4.0 out of 5 stars Comfort in a book 26 Jun. 2014

I like these stories. They truly are cozies. The mystery is OK, keeps you involved. but it's the people and the settings that pull you in. I find myself really liking these people and wish I knew them. I rated it a 4 because it's not "War and Peace". But it is a relaxing, interesting summer read. I recommend it. It's a break from work, children and household chores which will give your spirit a break.
