Overall a good album from the band, I think it’s a bit more low key than they other efforts. It’s a bit slower than the earlier albums. It’s still got some great songs.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy are an awesome band and have shown on their previous albums that they can really bring out the best in swing. There muscial talent is amazing, throw in their ability to make catchy tunes and youve got a great band.
Compared to their previous albums i think this one is slightly lacking, there isnt as much of the get up and boogie that the others had... however saying that this album still shines with excellence and should be a purcahse for any swing fans and a definet for BBVD fans....

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy are fantastic and this album is no exception. If you ask a lot of people what they think of swing music they'd probably say they didn't like it just as an automatic answer but one listen to BBVD and I'm certain a lot of people would change their mind.
There are plenty of great new songs on this album, the ones that stand out to me are "You Know You Wrong" and "Save My Soul" which, tempo-wise, are at opposite ends of the scale.
I'd recommend this album to fans of the band and people who are curious, it'll have to tapping your feet, clicking your fingers and dancing round the room. Let's hope we see plenty more from BBVD in the future.
