I ordered this having read the other two reviews which gave it a solid thumbs-up. It is nice looking and works well for over-five minute timings, but doesn't work for five minutes or less. When I set it for five minutes it counts down with a reassuring tick but doesn't actually do anything when it reaches 0. Don't use it for timing soft boiled eggs, for example.

Great timer. Stylish. Make sure to follow instruction to wind it up to the full clockwise first if you are using it for short time, otherwise, it will not ring.

Having just installed a new kitchen, I was looking for items to match the colour scheme and this timer is perfect. Some reviewers have complained that the ring is too short. If you wind it up to 55 minutes first then reduce to the requisite time then it produces a pleasant ring of sufficient duration to attract your attention.

Mixed feelings.
Easy to use. Lovely finish to it; but the bell is TOO quiet!

Only rings for a short amount of time
