Book Description

Three disillusioned SAS Special Forces soldiers return to Britain in the aftermath of the 1991 Gulf conflict to discover an increasingly corrupt judiciary. Smirking miscreants walk free whilst the innocent suffer. Aided by a Scotland Yard informant, the trio embark on a brutal, covert crusade to rid Britain of its nefarious untouchables. Drug dealers, paedophiles and various other lawbreakers are targeted as the morgues fill and the courts empty. Detective Inspector Jim Brannigan, a former military policeman, investigates, suspecting that the deaths are linked. Divided loyalties ensue when the paroled Jamaican drug dealer responsible for the death of Jim's wife evades the justice system but not the elite soldiers now operating as vigilantes.

Review

"I'm sure most of us have ranted at soft justice. I certainly have. None of that in this book! Full of suspense and very well written by a clever author. Very graphic violence so be warned about that. I enjoyed this." Paula Potier

"Could not put it down great read kept me on the edge right to the last page, well worth it!!"
Neil Davis

"One fantastic writer. Could not put it down. The tension. Is unbelievable and I would give the book and writer 10/10" J. Thomas

"It kept me hooked from start to finish, hopefully there's more in the series, bring it on please if you would?" Martin Holroyd "Old game guru"

"Having served in the forces I know that technical info within the book was correct to a certain high degree. I would and have told friends to read it." Jeffrey Alan Hall

"Very good well written by the writer who has done a great deal of research about firearms and the tasks of the police and fire arms squad." Colin Donald

"It is only a matter of time before Hollywood comes knocking on this author's door. Made to movie, and an explosive one at that." Ray Hoy - The Fiction Works

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad. 27 Feb. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This was not a bad read at all, believable plot that's easy to follow, just a little bit annoyed that the ending is in a sequel. Oh well I suppose the author is entitled to a little bit more for his work.

3.0 out of 5 stars History repeated 18 Jun. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Many moons ago in the 1980's I read The Churchill Commando by Ted Willis.
Mr Willis had the same sort of ideas of retribution and justice. Yes us oldies do write reviews.
Perhaps my age reflects my comments.
Whilst the story line is OK I personally found the violence just a bit to graphic and OTT.
The end game seemed to run out of steam and ideas. Yes I know its got a sequel. Even if I didn't see one particular chain of events coming.
I suspect that many of the readers of this sort of book also are gamers on Playstations etc. Who would enjoy this as a shoot em up game.
The main thing is that I finished reading this. There have been some that I haven't.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good action thriller 5 Dec. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A free book that is well edited! Not quite as good as Leather or Kernick, but a very good readable action thriller, with a story that will grip you from the start. One ridiculous coincidence aside, it is believable and well written. I have as a result just purchased book two. PS I dont know the author, and this is a real review!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, not good 20 July 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Don't know that I would pay for more books from this author. There are a few typos, but more annoyingly there is some plain, straightforward bad English. Men don't wear suites, they wear suits, an injury victim is a casualty not a causality, and so on.
The story started off okay, but about halfway through it attempts to change track, and just descends into a bit of a bloodfest.
I don't mind gory, but it's just not very well written gore -- and that just gets boring.
Nice try, but you need a story editor and a proofreader, Mr Collins.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like 7 Jan. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I write this after just finishing the sequel, I truly recommend both books
I
A fast moving novel which I thoroughly enjoyed. However the novel, as was its sequel, was let down by poor editing. Also whilst I understand the reason for the ending, I felt cheated. It could have been dealt with much better, by leaving the reader dangling, it is bad form to tell them to buy the sequel
