I have just finished this book and this is "fresh" opinion. If you want to know all business processes in Material Management this book is exactly for you. Makes me laugh when project managers, key users and management in UK corporations don't have the BIG PICTURE. They know how to do things in SAP I mean which key to press. But when you ask them how MM integrates with other modules. What are the main MM processes like: material flow, information flow, financial flow they have no clue. But they all claim their are SAP MM guru. This book is perfect for Project Manager, Programme Manager or Business Lead like me. Before you even start any implementation you have to know all business processes that drives in MM and how these processes affect other parts of organization. I am working in UK and many times MANAGEMENT doesn't know the process it takes to run their business. Individual Managers usually understand their piece of the pie but not all the pieces. You should know how the company works - THE BIGGER PICTURE. By reading this book you will be able to understand this from MM perspective.
I met plenty SAP consultants that have no clue about business processes that drives MM but their know all the technical stuff which is good but definitely not enough.
Remember it is much more important to have the bigger picture than just knowledge of small part of MM.
One more thing: SAP is changing on-going and even if some parts of this book is out of date (which I don't think personally) the logic remain the same. Like a Windows. If you know how Windows XP is working and can use Microsoft Office 2003 you will learn very fast how to use Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 properly. It's not rocket science. The problem will occur if you never worked with Windows and Microsoft Office.
