The well known eneloop batteries now in the AAA size with 1500 recharges. They are fantastic. I use them for a variety of things from baby monitors to head torches.
They do not lose their charge when not in use and so are just as handy as normal disposable AAA batteries. The money you will save from having a couple of pairs of these in the house compared to using disposables is enormous.
Even though they only have a relatively low mAH output they are very powerful. I have replaced all use of Duracells and Energizes with these.

Bought these batteries month ago and I'm yet to re-charge them for the first time. Normally I use Duracell rechargeable but since buying these I've replaced all my batteries with Eneloop.

Batteries
Have used Eneloop batteries before. They are the best of the NiMH due to holding charge for long period when not in use.
