I bought this unit to use with a Canon EOS-350D and what a pairing they make! The Canon came with a free standard Sandisk Compat Flash card which performed pretty well. However, on moving to the Extreme III the speed of writing and transferring images tripled. At the time, this card as an extra seemed expensive, now though I think it was excellent value. The Canon can run as fast as it can and the Extreme III allows it to perform at its very best.

As with most products the world over you get what you pay for, and with the Extreme III you most certainly do.

This is a superb card. My current CF cards are from a well known high-street chain of photo shops and always seemed to take ages to transfer images not only when taking shots but also when dowloading to my PC even using a card reader never mind leaving them in the camera to do so.

These extreme 3 cards are very very quick. I've bought two and am using them in a Canon 300D. There is defeintely an improvement in how quick the camera writes to them especially when shooting bursts of 5 or more shots at once.

As for the guarantee. Why are some people worried they don't have a life time guarantee on them? Give it 10 years and we'll be on to something different anyway!

Memory cards are just memory cards, right?

Well, that's usually true: you stick them in the camera and they work. So why buy this?

The first thing I noticed with this new card is how quickly I can delete all the files on my Canon 400D: just a couple of seconds. It works well on continuous shooting, as you'd expect, but more noticable is how fast it is when in my card reader. I can access photos from the card reader almost like they were on the hard disk.

And of course, being Sandisk, you can trust that it'll keep on working. I have several cameras, all with Sandisk cards and they've never let me down.
