This is one of the best value USB drives I’ve ever seen, I’ve been waiting a long time for an affordable 1GB model.
In the pack you get the drive, 3 translucent ‘skins’, a case which can store 2 of the skins, a neck strap/clip and a mini metal ring for use as a key ring attachment.
Firstly I have to say the drive is much better looking then the Amazon photo. It’s actually one of those ultra-slim drives.
To give you an idea of the size, look at the metal connector on any USB device that you own. The body of this drive is just 2 times the length of the USB connector.
Thickness wise the drive is the same thickness as the metal USB connector since it’s all one piece of metal - there’s no plastic lump at the end. You will not find a slimmer drive then this one, it would be physically impossible.
Even when using a skin it makes only a minor difference in thickness.
Speed wise on XP with USB2 I transferred a 760MB video file to the drive in 3 minutes, transferring the same file back to hard disk took just 40 seconds. I was also able to stream the video directly from the drive in Windows Media Center.
Setting it up on my old Win 98SE / USB1 computer was easy, you need to download the 98 drivers from the Sandisk website (only a 1MB download). Once you have the drivers installed it’ll plug and play in 98 just like in XP.
The cap can fit on the end of drive when it's in use so you don't lose it, although it’s not a wholly secure fit. The green light on the end drive looks amazing. It’s not just a tiny LED, the whole back end of the unit lights up and it can still be seen with the lid on. The 3 skins come in clear, red and blue versions and are made of a translucent latex/silicone type material.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic product, easy, small, excellent 14 Feb 2006
By A Customer
A truly fantastic product, i never knew it was so small, and makes for an excellent replacement of my old 64mb flash drive, which was so big. This one is so small, it fits into the tightest usb port locations, its 5cm x 1.7cm, and is very comfortable to use. It came with a handy neck strap, so i never misplace it, and also came with 2 cases, one blue and one pink, of which im using the blue one.
A nice little light glows when its plugged in, and is clear to see, unlike those tiny dots which many other usb dives have. The cap fits tightly, so doesnt slip off easily, as does the case. Its also very solid, and strong.
It comes with nice software, most of which are trial versions, but are definately worth purchasing, the best of which is CruzerLock2, which encrypts important and private data with a password. It was a breeze to use, just plug and play. with 1GB of storage, i can store all my documents, with plenty of free space for My Pictures, and application data, such as bookmarks, etc.
this price was nothing for such a good product, from a highly reputable brand, whilst searching around, i was finding 512mb ones for 50-60, so was very pleased with the price.
overall, its a solid, versatile and compact product, that you should definately purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have Item! 23 Feb 2006
This is by far the best flash drive I have ever owned, and at an amazing price!
The flash drive itself is tiny, only about 5cm long and it isn’t very 'fat' which is useful as I have four USB ports squashed together on my laptop, but this drive doesn’t stop me being able to plug any other device in.
The whole back end of the drive lights up, so you can definitely see when its safe or not when to unplug it, its not just a tiny LED which you can barely see.
And to top it all off, the accessories, you get a detachable lanyard and three plastic sleeves to put over the drive, one blue, one red and one clear/white so you can have it personalized anyway you like.
Overall an amazing flash drive, I haven’t seen anything better, or as cheap, especially as it is about the same price as many 512mb drives!

5.0 out of 5 stars 1GB flash drive review 13 Jan 2006
By Jules
On one side the flash drive has a sticker with some lines, so you can write your name or label it whatever you wish
aswell as a instruction manual enclosed with this is are two extra covers for the flash drive. It already is encased in a white soft rubber/plastic casing that protects it from scratches very well. the two extra covers are blue and red(if you imagine a blue or red highligher, thats what colour they are).
It comes with a neck strap that can attach to a loop on the end of the flash drive using a ring that you would have on your keys. The neck strap has a button that you can press to remove the flash drive.you can just have it around your neck, unclip it from the strap and plug it into the usb port.no need to take of the neck strap. The loop on the end of the flash drive means you could attach this to your keyrings if you want, instead of using the neck strap.
When plugged in it has a yellow LED that brightens up the rear end of the flash drive.
Since using it i have had no problems, very pleased with it will reccomend it to freinds.
Managed to copy 100MB of data in under 2minutes onto the flash drive.Using my old USB 1.1 that took about 5-8minutes instead.
Pros: small simple size.can fit onto neck strap or key ring.nice bright LED when plugged in so its easy to notice.
Cons: none

5.0 out of 5 stars very good
Very good, it stayed with me for 5 years, when it eventually died. I guess it is a good life span for a USB drive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
This is a real bargain. It's about half the size of my current 512Mb pen drive so I can actually attach this to my already crowded keyring. The casing is also nice to the touch. Read more
