I purchased this lens for the Nikon F fit but the lens is still the same. I was nervous the quality would be suspect but when the lens arrived was really surprised. The lens is solid with no loose parts. Everything appears well made and I have to say its better quality than most of the Nikon kit lenses. You must remember though this is a manual focus lens and you will need to change the CPU settings in the camera. I have a D300s and it is a relatively simple task to perform. To be honest focus is almost impossible to do manually on a fisheye lens as you can't really see anything through the viewfinder. Use the visual indicator and you should be OK. I found that set to infinity and with an aperture of 5.6 everything is clear and sharp.
If you purchase PTGui panorama software you will have some real fun doing 360 panos. Check out 360cities.net to see what you can achieve.
I did a lot of research on this area of photography and one thing I discovered was that pretty much everyone uses this lens over the more expensive 'Big' brand equivalents. ( the same lens is also branded as Rokinon, Vivitar etc. they are all the same so don't be fooled)
I am a bit of a purest when it comes to Nikon and was very nervous about this purchase. Believe me you will not be disappointed. It is beautifully built and great fun to use. There is plenty of material on using the lens on the web but go to Flickr and just see what others have achieved with the lens. You will be inspired!
