I wasn't impressed with this unit. Mine appears to be faulty so I'll be sending it back.
The DIVX player incorrectly added black bars to the top and bottom of a 16x9 movie, I have a widescreen TV so this shouldn't happen and it doesn't happen when playing DVDs. Also when playing DIVX I had frequent sound break-up, but the movies play fine on my computers so there nothing wrong with the files.
I also got a feedback hum when playing mono (audiobook) mp3-cds rendering them unlistenable.
Despite the USB socket on the front, mine failed to read either my USB flash memory stick or my mp3 player.
The sound quality when playing DVDs is also disappointing. There are no bass or treble controls rendering the sound flat and muddy with little or no top end. Even with the sub-woofer turned to it's lowest setting it still sounds overbearing and using the DRC made no difference.
My 10 year old dolby prologic amp sounds much better.
On the plus side, it was easy to use and the picture quality was ok.
