This wine is obtained exclusively from Sagrantino grapes. The Sagrantino have a vigorous plant, it has a small grape and fruit with a thick skin. The grapewines are hand-picked and harvested the second weeks of October.
The grapes once selected, are brought into the winery where they get the traditional processing with a 20 days maceration period.
After the drawing the wine goes into French barriques for about 18 months depending on each vintage.
The significant tannin's presence makes this wine especially longeval and of excellent structure.
The color is intense deep ruby red with garnets reflections, its fragrance is of black berry and tobacco, strong and full in the palate and it's finish with a spectacular dry sensation.
