I bought this product as it seemed to receive the best reviews over other products, and I'm generally happy with the purchase.
So far I've used this product for both traditional beef burgers, but also vegetarian bean burgers, it worked well for both. The burger press is rather large, it makes burgers around 4", (10cm), across, which is a nice size for pure meat burgers, but may be too large for burgers with specialities like cheese inside. I found it quite hard to remove the burgers, as the ridging on the press makes it stick inside the base former quite easily, but as another reviewer suggested, using cling film as an inlay really helped get them out intact.
I was surprised how light the device was, the main press is formed from brushed aluminium, which is naturally light and sturdy. The handle seems to be injection formed plastic, it had a nice, easy to grip tacky texture, but was quite small for my larger hands. However, I was really disappointed to find the base mould was made from a cheap plastic, quite depressing considering the high cost of this product, however it is strong and didn't warp when using the product.
Thanks to the simple construction, the item was really easy to wash by hand, though I found no indication that it is dishwasher safe, considering the materials I personally wouldn't put it through a dishwasher, but as it's easy to clean Im happy to hand wash.
The packaging of the item is pleasant, a minimal Apple-style white box. This made it a really good and quality feeling product that I'd be happy to give as a gift, inside the box is nothing but the press, but the item is self explanatory, so I didn't feel I needed anything else.
