We bought this model because it was a Which Best Buy and a reasonable price for a miele product.Had this cleaner for 4 months and can not fault it.Picks up brilliantly on all surfaces, excellent with pet hair.The ability to adjust the power from about 300w to 2000w is excellent if you want to use it on more delicate things like curtains or soft furnishings, use the lower setting and for carpets or hard floors turn up the power.Also with Miele's legendary durability should last for years and years.

I've been delighted with this vacuum cleaner. It is very quiet and efficient with a wide range of suction power settings. The retractable cable device works every time and the on/off switch is a wide panel on one side of the machine that makes it easy to operate with ones foot. The hose section can be lengthened/shortened with ease and has a useful mounting on the side of the machine for holding it in place when the machine is not in use. I find the vacuum cleaner especially good for doing stairs, though I would recommend getting the turbo head attachment that gets into the corners and with its rotating brush really lifts up every bit of fluff and dirt.

Brought this on the strength of my parents 20 year old Miele never going wrong.
The Which recommendation sealed the deal. I wasn't disapointed. It picks up everything - is nicely adjustable to do rugs etc. Most impressive is the noise - or lack of it.
Amazon price not the best - but fair.
