There seems to be the argument that this TV adaptation of the SAS is inaccurate and doesn't do justice to the regiment itself. I think this view is one taken by those who are taking this far to seriously. Too know the severity and minor details of the training, read biographies and things alike, and don't expect this DVD to tell you everything. The SAS have remained the one of the best SF in the world, and it's revolved around secrecy, and only the naive should expect anything more from this DVD.
The negative reviews aside, this DVD is highly enjoyable for those interested in the SAS, and it gives a civilians perspective over a ten day period where they are introduced to a sampling of the SAS training. This DVD is never going to be a 100% account of the real thing, when those participating have little, or zero military training whatsoever. However, with that said this series was still interesting and enlightening for those interested.
