Buy the Li On + fast charger- horribly expensive but these uns take 2-3 hours to charge for the first time (it seems abit faster after conditioning) and there is a distinct drop in power after 10 minutes when using the strimmer. They still keep going for quite a while, but the tougher weeds started smirking back at me until I swapped to the next fully charged battery. Inevitably I compromised and got the starter kit with 2 of these. That was me trying to cut costs- I suggest you splash out for the better kit- especially if you're likely to get more than one tool in the series.

Update: As I've just bought the less pwer hungry fluorescent light in the series from Amazon Ryobi One+ Fluorescent Light at least I feel I've got a use for these batteries now when I do stump up for the much better Li On battery.
