This Ryobi RCS4450 is a powerful and robust 44cc petrol engine chainsaw and gives the user maximum efficiency and performance on the most demanding of jobs. The Ryobi RCS4450 is fitted with a easy to change 500mm (20-Inch) chain that makes light work of large branches. There is also fitted an Ignition module for easy start up, a primer bulb to prime the engines carburettor with petrol, and a choke lever for quicker starting.
The Ryobi RCS4450 has the most up to date Zip-start--this also allows the chainsaw to be started quicker with less effort. The 3-point anti-vibration handles aid the user and improves comfort during prolonged use. A great safety feature of the RCS4450 is the fast acting automatic chain brake--this will stop the chain within 0.12 seconds if kick-back occurs.
This Ryobi chainsaw has an automatic chain gear lubrication system that oils the chain as the chain runs through the gear box, reducing friction and wear, greatly prolonging the life of the chain and the saw itself. The Ryobi RCS4450 is fitted with a large silencer for quiet operation and has easy access to all fuel and oil levels. A must chainsaw for tree fellers and the most advanced gardeners.

Superb machine for half the price of a well known brand easy to set up. And will cut down trees like knife through butter.

Having scoured the net for a chainsaw this one seemed the best deal, and it is by a mile. I can only re-iterate Phil's review, however the instructions for starting the saw are not clear. To avoid frustration make sure the choke is PUSHED IN, not pulled out as the manual suggests; APPLY THE CHAIN BRAKE, (not mentioned.) Then pull the starter. This sorts the issue out straight away!
Once the chainsaw is started, the performance of the machine is amazing. Its very powerful as well as being lightweight and compact. I couldnt get over the power for such a low priced chainsaw. Just to test the power we thought we would have a go at cutting up a railway sleeper in the yard - and it did the job. Would recommened this saw to everybody due to the power and price.

This chainsaw is excellent at doing the job. This is my 4th chainsaw. I have two issues with it.
1.The leaflet instructions that go with it are not very clear due to the smallness of the diagrams.
2.The chainsaw chain oil uses SAE 30 and is very thirsty and there is no window to see how much oil remains in the machine.
