The Ryobi RCS1835 is a powerful 1800 Watt 240 Volt chainsaw that is fitted with a 35cm (14in) bar and chain that will make light work of all major tree or large shrub removal. The Ryobi RCS1835 has the latest live tool indicator that glows blue when plugged into the power supply, to warn the user there is power being supplied to the machine and that the tool is live.
The Ryobi RCS1835 has softgrip handles for greater comfort to the user when in prolonged use. It also has a fast 13m/sec chain speed that gives the chainsaw a faster operation so the user gets a good clean cut all the time with a maintained chain. The chainsaw has a large oil tank to lubricate the chain when in motion and a visible oil indicator so you can keep your eye on the oil level--this is a good safety feature and prolongs the life of the chainsaw. The RCS1835 is fitted with a fast-acting automatic chain brake--this stops the chain if kick-back occurs. The Ryobi RCS1835 chainsaw is ideal for all types of tree work and can be used in gardens with a power source.

I have always had petrol chain saws before but I must say that the Ryobi RCS-1835 is a fantastic product and an excellent buy for anyone with a small holding for cutting wood for the fireplace.

Well worth the money. Cut down several small trees with ease and converted to logs for the fire. Probably a little small for attacking redwood or major oak trees, and uses a lot of oil. But i'm happy with it so far.

Read a lot of reviews for petrol & electric chainsaws and found the Ryobi 1835 240v the best for my needs. I am currently using for cutting logs, but believe this chainsaw would be more than capable of cutting anything up to a medium sized tree. Like other reviews i found it does use a lot of chain oil, but this does help to keep the chain in an excellent condition. Comes apart and goes back together easily, which i found really useful for cleaning after use.

Really excellent piece of kit. It performs very well, coping with everything I've thrown at it so far. The only downside is the rate at which it uses chain oil.
