Bought this as a replacement after my old Ryobi trimmer caught a fence wire, which was hidden in the hedge I was trimming, in the cutter blade. It wrecked the trimmer which was a shame as it is does a neat job on hedges and is also effective on cutting back brambles. Stays sharp, just keep it well oiled - watch out for hidden pieces of fence wire buried in the under growth you are cutting! Cheap but good value for money. Would be five stars if you could strip it down for maintenance.

Does what it claims to do, not genuine Ryobi I think ? but cheaper (cost wise )through Amazon

This was perfect for cutting the Mother-in-law's hedge and thining branches used in garden screening. It allowed me to reach up to give good head clearance especially with the extension pole. Stopped the local council and the neighbours moaning about the over grown hedge and saved the mother-in-law a shead load of money too

Expand it range
The hedge trimmer works well, easy to fit and trims small stuff well. Do not use on thicker branches though as my first trimmer broke a tooth. Read more
