I rate the Ryobi Expand-It tool collection as very fine value for money. I already owned the power unit, rotavator, strimmer, hedge cutter and chain saw lopper. The latter two items could occasionally benefit from being slightly longer shafted and this is where the Aex02 comes in.
It works very well but users need to be aware that you will find a noticeable increase in downward force once you've got something like the chainsaw lopper now about 10 feet above your head.
ALWAYS wear head protection, eye protection and hearing protection and NEVER use these tools while standing up a ladder, even a 3 tread set of steps is asking for problems.
Also ensure that after use you give a squirt of oil down each end of the tube of the Aex 02 before you store it away and it should give you tears of service.
As a suggestion I always recommend starting and running the power unit without any attachments fitted to ensure the engine is warmed up to working temperature prior to use.
Then turn the engine off, fit the attachments, start it again and you should have no problem carrying out your desired job.

Brought this item to go with my Ryobi petrol expandit Trimmer and its Hedge attachment.
This extension is great for reaching for those difficult to reach areas. They lock together very well and several can be stacked together for even further, however the overall weight and leverage increases with each additional extension as they are not lightweight. I would reccomend that only one of these are used with the chain trimmer beacause of this however this was not such a problem with the hedge trimmer.
A very well thought out accessory that does what is says and is robust in construction, just remember to watch the extra weight. A++++

Extension shaft
