I ordered one of these as a tryout since an ordinary hedge trimmer alone was more than this was. As I already had the power unit I thought - go for it - so I did.
I haven't been disappointed.
The articulation feature is a god-send if, like me you have stupidly high hedges belonging to a property next door which is rented so no one give a damn how they look.

This device is superb value for money.
I always give it a good spray with either 3-in-1 or WD40 before, during and after use. That keeps it running smoothly.
One piece of advice I would give is to always run your power unit for a while to warm it up before attaching the trimmer (after powering off first of course!)
That way the engine isn't strained as much as it would be trying to start from cold with the attachment already added.

We purchased our Ryobi Expand-It Hedge Trimmer from G&M Supplies through an Amazon package. Unfortunately our first Hedge Trimmer would not operate properly on the Ryobi power head. After e-mailing G&M I was advised it was a problem they had encountered before, and to try a liberal spray of WD40 on the blades. This did not solve the problem, but after a further e-mail a replacement was despatched immediately and works perfectly. I cannot praise the prompt and friendly action of the company enough, it was brilliant! The only problem is that I now have no excuse for not trimming the hedges!

I received the trimmer very quickly after ordering.
On unpacking, I read the instructions, fitted it to my Ryobi strimmer power unit. Oiled where indicated and started the engine.
The hedge cutter worked smoothly. I then started to cut a privet hedge about 10 meters long 3.5 meters high and 2 meters wide, this was cut very well.
The unit worked better than I expected and would reccomend it to everyone.
