I bought this to tackle a very overgrown patch in my garden. In three sessions I managed to get the shrubs under control and shaping the bushes was made easier because the trimmer isn't too heavy. I only got a "jam" twice and on neither occasion could I blame the machine, as large branches were the cause. Charging the NiCad battery doesn't take too long. On my experience you only get about 30-40 minutes of cutting time per charge, so it's fine for light or occasional use. For more extended jobs, you could buy an extra battery, so you can charge one as you work with another in the trimmer. A good piece of kit - I'm glad I invested in it.

I recently purchased this product in May 2011, after searching for sometime for a cordless version. I found the reviews of the product on the Amazon website excellent and very helpful.
I have know used the hedgecutter several times and it has proved itself with my rather large hedge. Cuts effortlessly and the battery has a long charge life.

Ryobi hedge cutters
Not impressed at all, when they arrived it said 2 batteries included on the box only one game. So still thought I would give them ago. Read more
