5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Drills 29 Dec 2010
By NickT
I bought this item as my old drill had died and I was fed up with changing bits from drill to screwdriver. So far these drills have been excellent, Great power, ease of use and you can use one for drilling and one for the screws.
Batteries seem to last ages without recharge and the hammer drill copes very well with tough masonry drilling. I would recommend these as a good value set of tools.

Ryobi always have produced great products. This set is no exception. Battery life is good, and charging takes around an hour.

5.0 out of 5 stars Working well after a year of DIY 25 Sep 2012

Very happy with these two drills. One is suitable for medium/hard work loads including drilling concrete and hard brick, the other for light drilling (ie wood etc) and use as a screwdriver. Batteries pack a good punch and last well. Depth guauge also useful and speed control very good. And torque control is one of those things I never knew I needed but is very useful indeed.

Excellent value for the home DIYer.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok for the money 6 Jun 2011

You could only use these for lightweight applications, if you want something with plenty of torque to say pull wooden beams together then look elsewhere, they simply don't have the power.
Also on the drill machine wasn't convinced by the hammer action, terribly stiff to dial.
Compared to a DeWalt they are poor, but you are getting two machines in a tidy case for less than half you would pay, perhaps these cordless drills should also have an amperage reference as well as voltage, so the buyer knows how powerful they are, as these simply start screwing and stop when they hit any resistance, the DeWalt drives it home with no problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value 10 Oct 2010
By Sylvia
My husband already had an old Ryobi drill which had given excellent service but the battery had worn out and needed replacing. However the current batteries were slightly different in style and he therefore had to consider buying a completely new drill. On shopping around (including looking on the shopping channels!) the best deal was to be found on Amazon as it included the screwdriver and 2 batteries, complete with carry case. He has since used both drill and screwdriver and is highly delighted with them.
